I was able to migrate successfully from PM to watchlist a couple of weeks ago and watchlist was working ok. Since the old PM has been shut down my watchlist no longer works. I can see the default watchlist but the pull down arrow to select other watchlists does not work and the tabs for fundamentals, portfolio holdings, and transactions do not work either. I am frozen in the default watchlist summary and can't select anything else. I have tried refreshing the screen to no avail. How can I get watchlist working?

Yep, me too. Two days now can't do anything with the wonderful new Watchlist except look at the default page. Good work, Microsoft!

I also sent a complaint to Microsoft Investor Relations a couple weeks ago.  Why dont you move on to a good portfolio manager (eg. FT.com)?  The new PM will be a piece of junk for a long time to come.

I have since more or less fixed this problem by going into the "managing watchlist" section and then switching the default to another list, saving and then resetting the default to the list that I actually want as the default.  The watchlist then started populating all of the fields properly.

This is clearly a bug of some sort but at least there is a workaround.

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend the portfolio management software "Investment Account Manager".  It isn't that expensive and gives you the same tools as professional money managers use, indeed this program is used by smaller money management firms.  It is a very good tool.

I only use the Microsoft PM (now Watchlist) as a back-up that I can look at while on the road for a quick reading of my portfolio movements.

I own a lot of Microsoft stock and it has been a good investment but I am baffled and disheartened that they handled this stock portfolio management utility so poorly.  The original program was really good and then they progressively downgraded it up to the present joke.  On the one hand it is free and we as users really have no right to place demands on Microsoft, on the other if you are a giant corporation and make a compact with the public to provide a free service that involves a large commitment on the part of users, one would think that you would then try to honor that compact with more concern for your users.  The sad fact is that there are probably so few users for this utility that it isn't anywhere close to being on management's radar.
