Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

    Adriana,

Now I can import my Watchlists, but when I choose my default Watchlist and then the Continue Button, I get no response.

I am using Win 7 and IE 10.

    Thanks,

    Arnie

I'm switching to the CNN Portfolio, it's not as good as PM, but its much better than the new MSN Watchlist, you can connect directly to multiple brokerages and get your data directly from them, or enter positions manually. Then you can access on a browser or via their app. You can at least get a total across all your portfolios. I wont be staying with MSN after this debacle, 15 years of transaction history down the drain.

Is it at all possible to retrieve all the transactions without laboriously copying them by hand?

    Hi fitzVY,

You can export the data to Excel by clicking on the Print Portfolio button. A table of the data is displayed, select the table (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and then paste it (CTRL+V) into Excel.

    Hope this answer your question.

    Thanks,

    Adriana

    Adriana,

I think you are not understanding that copying and pasting the print preview only gets us top-level summary data and not all of our transaction history, which is what we need in order to do the kind of detailed tracking that made us use the msn portfolio in the first place. Please help us get access to the transaction data in some sort of exportable form.

Sorry, fitzVY. I didn't realize this but will try to get additional help. I've sent an inquiry to the product team about any alternatives they may have.

    Thanks for clarifying your needs.

No pop-up for me, never had the pop-up to allow me to migrate my old portfolio.

IE 9, vista platform.  Pop-up blocker turned off.

    Hi EdwardSchaul,

First of all, are you signed in? Have you tried a few times? It looks like the page was back up earlier this morning and since I don't know when was the last time you tried, I wanted to make sure you give it another shot.

And just to make sure, is this going to be the first time you try to migrate? If so, did you try following the steps  under How do I import my old lists? If you have tried migrating before and had issues, you should go to Migration Support page and then click on Retry Import.

Let me know if that helps at all.

    Thanks,

    Adriana
