Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

At least we know for sure that we have to manually pull the data out of the Old Portfolio Manager.  This will be alot of work for me.  I have been using the PM since 1999.  I will be sorry to see the Old PM go and be replaced with a piece of junk.  Thanks MSN for giving me 15 years of the old PM.  All good things come to an end.

Bob, thanks for replying to Adriana's November 26th post.  I didnt see her post.

    Hello everyone,

I would like to address some of the issues that users have reported regarding the old MSN Money Portfolio Manager not updating content such as Latest News for companies, RSS feeds, etc. As MSN has been updated to a new system, we retired some existing offerings that are being replaced in the new platform and effective October 11, the old MSN site was officially retired. That is why some of the content in the Portfolio Manager is not updating and in some cases users might be getting redirected to the new MSN site.

The product team has not yet retired the existing Portfolio Manager to prevent customers who are unable to import their data from losing access to the data. After issues with importing data from the old Portfolio Manager have been addressed, that site will be retired. In the meantime, please keep reporting any import issues you find.

    Thank you,

    Adriana

Semi good news, however, even if My Watchlist and the migration was complete/accurate, My Watchlist is VASTLY INFERIOR compared to Money PM. Please give legacy Money PM users the option to continue use. My Watchlist is just not a useful tool. I'd use it if it was. Frankly, I think MS Finance will lose most of it's traffic to Yahoo. I don't know how they will replace Money PM. It's the best, by far, of any PM software I've seen. It is incredulous that it could be lost. Damn shame.

Is there a way to export from PM to Morningstar, or will I have to type in all previous transactions?

I think the new portfolio manager is horrible. I have been a supporter of Microsoft since the early days of Windows and cannot believe that they are changing to an inferior product. I would hit the Print Portfolio button every day to keep a record of my portfolio. That does not exist on the new Portfolio Manager. If you try to print, you get endless pages of info you don't need. The only way to print is to highlight the info you want and use a screen capture program. That is insane.  Why can't they just leave the old portfolio manager up?  I don't care if the news is not updated. I can get that elsewhere. Please pass this on to your superiors.  Thank you.
