You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

I am trying to create holdings in my portfolio that are indexes such as the S&P 500.  How do I go about doing this.  I get an error saying it cannot be added.  Another fund I am trying to add is $DWCPF which works on the old portfolio manager fine.

You are right. How could they leave out Print Portfolio? I would print out my portfolio every day and keep it in a file.  Now all you can do is capture the page to print it and that is time consuming. Amazing that Microsoft is not listening to their customers.

Progress! After a month or two of trying my Portfolio seems to have finally migrated to the Watchlist. Never got this far before. So now I can really see what an inferior product the Watchlist is. Almost completely non-customizable, unlike PM. Can't seem to see day change % and $ amount on some screen. Or switch $ change to %. Who cares about the Day Range? The Sort function is bizarre. And trying to track down the transaction history of a holding?? Are there any instructions anywhere on how to use this new little gem? (Or maybe there don't need to be, because we can basically do nothing we want with it.) It's really a mystery why Microsoft would cripple a well-functioning program like Portfolio Manager and force us into this barely usable application!
