You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

For those that are reporting that not all stocks in a portfolio migrated, please check and report if the stocks that did not migrate to your new watchlist are more than the 50th stock listed in the old portfolio manager when you have the old portfolio manager settings set to display your entire portfolio, including ones sold, and sort the symbols by alphabetical order as this is the list of stocks that the importer works with. In my case it will not import more than 50 per portfolio. You can check this in the old portfolio at the following URL:

Reposting following summary from other thread since you wrote above you wanted reports in this thread...

I tried reimporting my portfolio and it is still not importing all the symbols from one of my portfolios that has alot of stocks in it.

I think I may have figured out the problem. The import process appears to only go through the first 50 stocks in any one portfolio in alphabetical order. Within those first 50, it imports those for which a symbol is still valid meaning it can still retrieve a price. If all 50 have valid symbols, as mine do,  it imports the first 50 but no more. I tested this by deleting one of the first 50 stocks from the old portfolio, do the reimport again and seeing the 50th stock in the new watchlist increment by one.

Having used the old Portfolio Manager for many years I have over 800 symbols loaded in my portfolio when I choose the option to show all which includes ones that have been sold completely. If I choose the option to not show ones that have been sold, I have about 250 current ones. So even if I delete all the ones in the old portfolio that have been completely sold, which I am happy to do, that leaves 250 active ones of which only 50 get imported. I can manually add more than 50 in the watchlist so this issue appears limited to the import process.

Would you please verify whether there is a limit on the number of stocks per portfolio that can be imported and if so if this can be increased to accommodate more than 50. I would need at least 250 to completely import current holdings in my Portfolio. Also would be helpful to know if there is a limit on how many can be manually added after an import.

Tried it 3 times - does not work

I renamed all the lists, deleted list and tried and tried - the portfolio will not migrate

My portfolio also did not transfer over.   I only have watch lists which are worthless to me.  Can we have the old portfolio display back?

I am letting you know I have had difficulties with the steps - as in it did not work.  I cannot get all holdings to transfer.

Also, if interested the format and structure of the site, dealing with what did transfer is worse than the previous version. I cannot get a summary of the whole portfolio, I cannot see transactions by investment. The view takes up the whole screen plus more. I use to be able to hide positions that have been closed (sold) - this was useful to see what I did in past, but did not clutter up current portfolio look.
