You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

It's wonderful to learn of your success. Might I inquire how you found out about all the available extra columns, views, (someone else posted) how to sell, and so on. I posted an inquiry here yesterday asking if anyone knew about written instructions for Mornngstar Portfolio as I couldn't find any on the site. No one answered. I e-mailed Morningstar's customer service and got a canned reply saying they would get back to me within 3 days. Then about 8 hours later, another canned reply came suggesting I call rather than waiting for an e-mail reply.

Since all this, I've been fooling aound with the program and have to agree with you that it has a lot more to offer--along the lines of MSN Portfolio Manager--than I first thought if you have the investigative prowess and patience to drag it out by guess and by gosh. Now make me feel good and tell me that's what you had to do rather than finding written instructions on their site somewhere.

MSN--why do you make us select one page at at time to get to page 15 of this blog post? There's no way to go straight to page 15.

How to import again the old Watch List information. I already renamed the first imported list, but I can not find a way to import the old list again, there is no place to find it.

Adriana,

     I migrated my portfolio.

     All data seems to have migrated.

     When I go to msn money and click my Watchlist ,the portfolio summary comes up

     Then the page freezes and I get message " msn.com is not responding due to long running script.
