You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

    If you followed the Import from the old Portfolio Mgr to the new (and rudimentary and not functional) My Watchlist, then you're done. There is no going back to the old Portfolio Mgr. They didn't end it early, you simply followed the instructions to import from PM to Watchlist... and because of that, your PM access is no longer valid.

    Yes, Watchlist is junk and nowhere nearly as robust as PM. Microsoft knows what's good for you and you will like it.... That's why many of us are giving Microsoft a few weeks to address the issues before we jump ship.  Good-bye MS, Bing, IE, Money Central, etc....

    I also cannot access my PM stock data today as well. Please, Please, find out if this is temporary. I was in the process of recording stock info before the 22nd deadline and now I'm screwed if I can't access it any longer. I need my stock basis info for tax purposes.

    As a looong time Microsoft stock holder, user of PM and Hotmail Premium, I too am dismayed and shocked that Microsoft is forcing us to migrate to an inferior portfolio tracker. Why must it be so?

    Unfortunately I don't see a way to see the total dollar gain or loss or any other metric for all portfolios together at Morningstar. Of the 10 or so alternative online portfolio managers I tried, Morningstar does seem like the best alternative, but yes, it did not meet my needs as I also don't want to have to view my holdings in separate portfolios so I am using a spreadsheet where I can add as many stocks as I want to one sheet.

    The original message on the Portfolio Manager page was that it will be shut down completely on December 22. Yet, as other members already noticed, the page is already shut down.

    Guys - can't you at least keep your word and have it online until the 22nd?

    Access to Portfolio Manager classic seems to have been shut down on Friday, 12 Dec 14 instead of the 22 Dec 14 noted on top of the Portfolio Manager page.  I have yet to successfully migrate my data after mulitple attempts and had hoped to use this past weekend to try again.  Will access be restored?  Why was it removed early?  How can I reach my data in the classic version?
