Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

I have been trying to import my data for the past month with no success.  I have followed the instructions.  The data is incomplete and actually includes positions that I have sold out of years ago. I was going to try to manually update the imported data, but soon realized it was going to be impossible.  The portfolio manager worked fine.  Please provide access to the portfolio manager until the bugs are corrected in the new watchlist.  The data that was imported is worthless in its current form.

As far as I know, the portfolio manager will not be going away tomorrow. There was a request to keep it available for a couple of weeks after they receive confirmation that this current issue with the import is resolved. My gut feeling is that they will keep it available a bit longer.

So, in short, regardless of what the users actually want, MSN insists on cramming this huge step backward down our throats.  Knowing that, I'd like to reiterate my request that the product team figure out a way for us to d/l the PM data before the old PM goes away.  Even a text file would be worthwhile.  The data exists on your servers somewhere; there's got to be a way to get it.

    Adriana,

I hope you see this post. I have been able to import my accounts although I had to adjust some items and enter missing information. However two accounts have money market funds that show the ticker in the list of holdings but have zero shares and even though the ticker symbol shows in the account and shows the share price, I cannot enter share and purchase info. I get a message to enter a correct ticker symbol. The symbol is already listed but is not recognized when I try to enter share amounts.  Also there is no column that shows the value of the individual holdings, x number of shares = y number of dollars. I don't see any place to customize the view to show this and it is a very essential column to have. A couple of my accounts would not pull up the number of shares but I double checked them a minute ago and suddenly it now shows that in all of my accounts. The only other things at this time is that it would be nice to see all of my accounts on one page and a grand total somewhere. I can pretty much get by without many of the other screens that were left out of this program although they can be very informative and helpful. The last thing is that I would really like to see the numbers rounded to four places rather than two.  That can make a surprisingly significant difference in the numbers.

Thanks for your help with this. If you suggest that I need to reimport again, you will have to share the latest instructions since I can't seem to locate them somewhere in the 23 pages in this thread.  Thanks again.

    Hi DonCoad,

I have relayed your issues/suggestions to the product team and will let you know what they say. Not sure if these issues are related to the current topic we've been discussing on this thread and am not sure if you should try re-importing your accounts or not.

They are at the very first post I made on this long thread but I've pasted below for your convenience:

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Adriana
