You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

    Hi Adriana:

    The import works better than it has for me in the past (all of the stocks and funds are at least being recognized), but it's still totally wrong.  Closed positions are still showing as open.  The number of shares isn't right for any of my holdings.

    Can you please confirm or deny that the old version is going away on October 31?  I need to move all of my information over to a site run by a company that understands how important 100% accuracy is when it comes to financial matters.

    I realize this isn't your fault, but Microsoft really should be embarrassed.  I have given up hope that this is going to be fixed satisfactorily.

    Hi MorningSleeper,

    I am hoping to get a hold of the updated article today to see exactly what issues it will address and if it doesn't include steps to help users who have accounts that will not import, I will ask the product team to make sure they include them or provide an update on this specific issue.

    Just read the updated article and don't see any steps regarding accounts that will not import. Did you have a chance to ask the product team whether they would include steps for such or provide an update?

    I am also frustrated!  Need to be able to print separate accounts (portfolios) on one page with an overall total gain/loss at a glance.  Anyone finds this on a site or software please post.  I will be cancelling my premium account if MSN deletes old portfolio manager! 

    I agree.  I know MSN will not miss me or my $22 a month.  But I'm sure I will find a way not to miss them.

    What are you paying $22 a month for?

    I was one of those that tried to import my watchlist at a time when there seemed to be issues in doing so.  The other day I went back to the watchlist only to find that many of my accounts (which MSN calls Portfolios) are in the watchlist two or three times.  How can I easily remove the duplicate portfolios?
