KB2919355 (Windows 8.1 Update) Fails (800f0092 and 80073712) on Windows 8.1 Pro w Media Center

I just went to update my PC as well and it does all the updates but the Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64 and Windows8.1-KB2894853-x64,  Same error as prior posting,  any advice on how to resolve this?

the follwoing all went thru without issue

I tried the following commands, and rebooted after running them and attempted the update again, and still no luck

• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

I also tried

net user administrator /active

then sfc /scannow

rebooted and it still fails.

F***It I've finally managed to grab a windows 8.1 ISO and I'm gonna go for a refresh.. Wish me luck, I NEED IT!

Refresh and manual install worked for me. Time consuming and shouldn't have been necessary at all. Thanks for the help M$!

In watching this thread, for those people who have had the issue of Update 1 not installing, and not been able to resolve it through the combination of steps and DISM commands previously documented, repair or reload operations seem to work.

As my three successful updates were all on systems I personally installed from an installation disk (two using Windows 8.1 and the third using Windows 8 and then upgraded via disk to 8.1), and many people here are reporting issues that seem related to OEM installations (either tablets or new systems preloaded with a version of Windows 8 or 8.1), but often resolved by a repair/reload operation, I would suggest that this issue is somehow related to the OEM images, imaging techniques, or software installed along with the OEM images.  If that is the case, and people do not want to repair/reload (or do not have the capability to do so), then many people will simply have to wait for Microsoft to identify the root cause of the issue, and to release a patch.  And in my personal opinion, Microsoft will either issue a patch prior to the next "Patch Tuesday", or will relax the requirement, because they will not allow Windows 8.1 systems to be left in an unpatchable state.  As an IT person, I sympathize with all of your frustrations in installing this update (and Microsoft should have done a better job of testing this prior to release), but all I can simply tell you to be patient.  Microsoft WILL fix this.

(For those who do not know, OEM refers to the special versions of Microsoft software provided to hardware vendors for installation on the hardware they sell.  Although most of the bits are the same as the versions available in retail packages or via download from Microsoft, they have some vendor specific features - for example, being configured to bypass activation if, and only if, the software is installed on the vendor's own hardware.)

I have been having the same issue trying to install 355.   I've tried just about everything here and keep getting the rollback right at 100%.  So frustrating.

Some of the DSIM commands indicate I have corruption that is not reparied so I assume I need the whole repair install thing.

How do I go about getting an 8.1 ISO?  Do I have to call MS support because I don't really feel like a 2 hour marathon call.

FYI.... this was originally a windows 7 PC that  I replaced the main hard drive and installed a clean install of windows 8.0.   Never had any issues until I tried to install this update.
