black screen during calling with the lumia 930

I just received the lumia 930 a few days ago. Perfect device however every time I want to make a call the screen goes black. I had a lumia 920 without this problem. Is there a solution? (without blowing the dust, restoring to factory settings or bringing the device back to the store?). This is such a devastating problem as it is almost impossible to just answer the phone. A have no protective cover etc.

Final Update.

The shop replaced my Nokia 930 with a new one.

In the shop we found out that the screen in the sensor area was wobbly. LIkely that this was the defect that triggered the proximity sensor.

So, if you have issues with proximity sensor, there is one option only... go to service.

    I've just got my 930. The screen goes black during calls. Have to press the power button to bring the screen to life, but it disappears after a second. Impossible to make a call which requires you to press the keypad for options!

    I still have the original protective plastic that came with the phone, as I haven't bought a case yet.

    I moved from Apple to Windows, because I prefer the software. But having the a visible screen, to be able to do simple things like press speaker phone or do something simple as use the keypad (which Apple does flawlessly), should be a basic need for a mobile phone. It's ridiculous

    Thanks! Pacaah! Switch Tap-To-Wake on and off with a soft reset inbetween fixed the problem for me.

    Even if it's just a workaround- thanks!

    Physical damage is never covered by the manufacturer's warranty. It could have been worse - you coulf have had the proximity sensor fixed and broke the screen afterwards - you still would have to pay for the repair but you would be longer without your phone.
