Hi, I seem to be having the same problem with a brand new laptop and Bluescreen with Windows 8.1.
Can I just ask, which version of Google Chrome are you using? Could it be the 64-bit version?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My Sony Vaio Tap 11 (model: SVT1121C5E) runs very unstable ever since I bought it about 3 months ago. Almost every day the system crashes, sometimes multiple times. Sometimes with prior bluescreen, Windows colleting data and then stopping at 100%.
Occasionally the device shuts down and automatically restarts.
Sometimes the screen becomes black and the device can be turned off only by holding the power-button for a few seconds.
I´m running Windows 8.1 and all the current device-drivers, bios-update and Windows-updates are installed. I would really need some help here.

Conclusion
32 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 10 are included in this report. 2 third party drivers have been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers: netwbw02.sys (Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Driver, Intel Corporation) nuserver64.sys (Network USB Server 64bit Device Driver, Elite Silicon Technology Inc.) If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions from users who have been experiencing similar problems. End of WhoCrashed´s Analysis.
For more information I have put the Windows event-viewer
a) application events
b) system events
c) Windows Power Shell logs,
as well as the dumpfile-list on my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/l840x044kepyrna/aSIqO7PmqC
Please feel free to have a look at them too.
For comments and suggestions I would be very grateful.

Hello Patrick,
I am back with another bug causing system-crashes, which may or may not be related to the previous one.
In fact, it is two different errors I get this time around:
I am still using the old system, since I decided not to send the device in to Sony but to put up with the daily crashes following the motto: "A crash a day keeps the doctor away." ;-)
However, since two days the crashes have accumulated intensely and also they seem different from before. Before the screen just went black with no more reaction of the system to any input, having to switch off by long-pressing the power-button.
Now, the crashes are always followed by a blue-screen, Windows collects data, after which I can switch it off by long-pressing the power button.
The crash dump analysis also shows a slightly different picture from before.
Any ideas?

*** * Conclusion*
17 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 10 are included in this report. No offending third party drivers have been found. Consider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you.
Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.
Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.
Unfortunately, you cannot make altercations to that registry that easily. It seems doable in practice/on-paper, but that won't work.
Regards,
Patrick
Patrick, I would like to ask for your opinion about the following idea:
What if I use my current test-system in the following way:
All differences must be the result of the Sharkoon-software, right?
After that there should be no more crashes, right?
Do you think this could work or am I overlooking something?
Apart from the registry and drivers in system32, is there anything else that needs to be taken into account?
Supposed this method works, I could then restore my system-image of the original Windows, the one which has all the other software installed, and search for the bad Sharkoon-caused registry entries which I found in step 4 from above.
In fact, there is a newer software-version available. Pls see: http://www.sharkoon.com/?q=en/drivers
I already tried this version "lanport_win8_win7_vista_32bit_setup_12_0724_0050_b_40330.zip" as well, but it has the same problem. Or maybe the problem still exists from the previous installation of the outdated one I mentioned in the previous post.
To answer your second question: No, there is no restore-point from before the Sharkoon-installation on the original system available, since I installed it straight after I got the laptop.
You mentioned "It may be in your best interest however to just buy a replacement that is more up to date and supports Windows 8/8.1.", which is true, but that would still not get my original system repaired.
I do, however, have a restore point of my present system, the one which I created a few weeks ago for testing purpose. But there is some problem with going back to the previous restore-points. I can go through the entire process of restoring, then the system reboots, and after reboot there comes a message which says that the system-restore could not be performed due to perhaps some problem with an active antivirus software. I did, however, turn off my antivirus software, but still can't restore to my restore-points. Getting the restore-function back working would be quite helpful in order to be able to experiment with different drivers for the Sharkoon software.
Do you have any suggestions on what could be the problem with the restore-points? In fact, I have a number of restore-points for this test-system, all of which trigger the same message.
