runtime error microsoft visual c++ explorer.exe

The reasons may be multiple,that is:

• Driver Nvidia graphics card or Intel that interferes: to remove for test purposes
• Under Startup there are third-party software that create problems and interferes with explorer, in this regard follow this KB How to perform a clean boot in Windows(follow Windows 8 Instruction)
• problem of corruption in VC++2010 and 2012 packages remove them both and also any previous installed packages, then download and install them again from scratch
• in the system they are installed Visual Studio or Autodesk programs? for test purposes, remove them by following these two dedicated KB:How to uninstall Visual Studio 2012, Performing a Clean Uninstall | Installation, Activation & Licensing | Autodesk Knowledge Network

Thank you for pointing me to the scenarios.

I have done some troubleshooting suggested in this thread viz. removing and reinstalling the latest binaries from Microsoft, using sfc routine etc., no corruption of library has been found. I have nvidia driver insatalled and I am using this combination (windows 8.1 and nvidia driver) for last two years. This typical problem never came up until I did upgrade to Windows 10 64 Bit.

Now a specific symptom is when I am hooked to internet using WiFi or LAN, this error never been seen. Whenever I snap the internet, and leave the machine idle for about 15 minutes, visual C++ runtime error pop-ups are getting tiled up on my desktop. Closing each of them will make the machine unresponsive for about 20 seconds and the screen gets refreshed, I get back the control.

I have added an image of installed programs and versions.

Anything more specific than what we have already tried, would definitely help.

you followed this KB for perform a clean boot? 

remember, it's possible that "there arethird-party software that create problems and interferes with explorer"

in this case i think that the mcafee antivirus can interfere with the normal operation of the system

However, you are correct and  Mcaffee could be one of the reason .

Does the issue occur mostly when you are working on windows explorer window?

This type of error is usually related to damaged C++ components installed. Download and install the latest Visual C++ runtime. Locate and then remove the existing Visual C++ installation. To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1:

1.       Press Windows key + X, click on control panel.

2.       Go to Programs and Features.

3.       Locate Microsoft Visual C++ in the list of installed programs.

4.       Click Microsoft Visual C++, and then click Uninstall 

 

NoteIf you cannot find Microsoft Visual C++ in the installed programs list, go to step 2

Step 2: Follow the steps to remove the software.

Download and then install the latest Visual C++ runtime. To do this, follow these steps:

1.       Visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx 

2.       Download latest Visual C++

3.       Make sure that the computer is installed with all the latest hardware drivers

I get this error when I hit ctrl alt del to try to login, so can't follow any of the suggestions I've seen online.  I bought Windows 8.1 online and don't have a recovery disk.
