Dell Venue Pro loses wireless connection after installing Windows Updates

The Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro lost all wireless connectivity after installing either Windows Update**KB 2887595** or**KB 2903939**.

How can I get my WiFi back?

Hi,

This issue may occur if specific Windows Updates are not installed in the proper order. Microsoft has made a change to prevent further customers from getting into this state.  Customers must now have a pre-requisite update (KB 2883200) installed before being offered these updates. 

To restore wireless connectivity:

1.     Uninstall all of the following updates:

·         KB 2887595 – Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update rollup: November 2013

·         KB 2903939 – Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update rollup: December 2013

To uninstall an update, go to the Control Panel and select Programs.  Then, under Programs and Features, select View installed updates.  Select the updates listed above and click Uninstall.  If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2.     Install the updates listed below.  When you run Windows Update, the updates will now automatically be installed in the proper order.  You must restart the computer after you apply each update.

·        Install KB 2883200. 

·        Install KB 2887595 and KB 2903939.

    Nope, it don't work doing this... it may for a while, but nope it's all wrong... Best thing to do is uninstall those 3 updates: KB 2883200  KB 2887595 and KB 2903939 and hide them from windows so they never ever waste your's or my time again, and I am talking many many hours!!!

    Hopefully this will be easier fix for some of you.  I had this issue out of the box with my venue prior to the three windows updates that WILL interfere with your connectivity.  Those of you that have connectivity issue that already hid uninstalled/hid you windows updates may have success refreshing your pc under settings.  I uninstalled my 802 driver under and then refreshed my pc under settings.  took about ten minutes to fully refresh but I have not had issue the last few days.  at least on my venue I believe I had a corrupted wireless driver.   Hope this helps, take care everyone.

    And one more thing, still make sure you hide the three windows updates too....I believe the updates are still hidden after the refresh but it wouldn't hurt to double check

    Had this connectivity issue this morning. Found a forum post that sent me to this article. Uninstalled KB 2887595 (upon restart, I had my WiFi back). Uninstalled KB 2903939. Can't find KB 2883200 to install! Checked Download center and it says it can't be found... guess I'll run what is currently available in Windows Update and see what happens.
