Dell Venue Pro loses wireless connection after installing Windows Updates

The Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro lost all wireless connectivity after installing either Windows Update**KB 2887595** or**KB 2903939**.

How can I get my WiFi back?

Hi,

This issue may occur if specific Windows Updates are not installed in the proper order. Microsoft has made a change to prevent further customers from getting into this state.  Customers must now have a pre-requisite update (KB 2883200) installed before being offered these updates. 

To restore wireless connectivity:

1.     Uninstall all of the following updates:

·         KB 2887595 – Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update rollup: November 2013

·         KB 2903939 – Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update rollup: December 2013

To uninstall an update, go to the Control Panel and select Programs.  Then, under Programs and Features, select View installed updates.  Select the updates listed above and click Uninstall.  If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2.     Install the updates listed below.  When you run Windows Update, the updates will now automatically be installed in the proper order.  You must restart the computer after you apply each update.

·        Install KB 2883200. 

·        Install KB 2887595 and KB 2903939.

    This happens on my Acer Aspire-E1-522 as well. Not sure which update exactly causes the problem.  Seems to be an issue with Windows itself, or maybe a wireless adapter vendor shared amongst all of these computer manufacturers.

    Problem ("Windows updates breaking Wifi adapter") has been in existence since 2012.

    This is a phenomenal nonsense by dell. I should not need to change my router settings as ALL other devices in the house work. This tablet should never have been released. Almost a year with it and it has never had a full day without some sort of problem. Poor job dell, really poor

    Try changing WIFI setting (a/b/g/n) on your router.

    This totally fixed the problem for me.

    I am having the issue now.  My Dell Venue 8 pro got updated today and I lost wireless connectivity and there are other windows updates failed.  I tried uninstalling the network driver and now network device is not showing in tablet.  Please help me what should I do.

    the updates are KB2919355 success

    KB3008627 failed
