Dell Venue 8 Pro - black screen after powering on or getting it out of sleep

I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet. The screen of the 8 pro often doesnt turn on after pressing the power button (to get it out of sleep) or after pressing the windows button. Only the backlight turns on. 

Sometimes, after pressing the power button numerous times the screen turns on. (numerous = >50times)

Doenst matter if the battery is 100% or 10%.

The screen also doesnt turn on booting it up (after powering down).

Also when i press the power button + volume down immediately after (to enter the bios), it shows a black screen with backlight on.

I have installed teamviewer on the 8 pro and i have logged on with my laptop 3 times while having a black screen on the 8 pro.

The strange thing is, when viewing the 8 pro's screen with teamviewer, i can see the touch screen of the 8 pro is still functioning. See this video i made:

Each time i watched the system event log, and saw warnings like:

'a pointer device did not report a valid unit of angular measurement'

'a pointer device reported a bad angular physical range'

'a pointer device reported a bad angular logical range'

I have installed all the laters Dell drivers and flashed the Bios (also from Dell). Also i installed the latest windows 8.1 updates.

I have rolled back the installed Intel graphic drivers to standard microsoft drivers, but also with the standard drivers the screen occasionally wont turn on.

This device is rather new. What can i do to fix this?

    Also I noticed in the BIOS you can turn off the the TPM function.  Perhaps this would affect the behavior.

    Here is another annoyed DVP8 user having the same behaviour.

    I tried with the TPM disabled - no change.

    Strange thing for me is, that most times I'm even not able to enter the bios - also black screen.

    That stage no driver should cause the issue. Am I wrong?

    I uninstalled these windows updates

    KB2883200

    KB2887595

    Known issue of KB2883200:

    You experience an error when resuming a computer from hibernation, and a blank screen is shown. This issue may occur with some computers that have TPM chips enabled.

    Microsoft is aware of this issue, and this article will be updated when a fix is available.

    But unfortunately i had a black screen 30 minutes after the uninstall....

    Thank you for your answer.

    I have created a new Power Plan, but unfortunately that didnt help.

    However, this time the system event log showed this warning:

    'Display driver igfx stopped responding and has succesfully recovered' (EventID 4101)

    However, the strange thing ( to me), it seems the screen 'recovers' itself (or with less pressings on the power button) after login in on my 8 pro with teamviewer. It looks like that action triggers the screen so it turns on again...

    Hi,

    This issue can be caused due to the following reasons:

    Hardware settings.

    Power settings.

    Display settings.

    Let’s try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    First, I would suggest you to create a new Power Plan and check if it helps.

    Power plans: FAQ - Can I Create a Power Plan?

    This will help us to find out if the issue is with the power settings or Windows.

    Method 2:

    I would suggest you to contact the System Manufactures’ and check if there is any hardware settings or any updated patches\update for graphic card that we need to install for the same.
