how to reset phone if i forgot my lockscreen password

i forgot my phone's lock screen pin and unable to unlock it

after reading a lot of questions regarding it i found that we should reset the phone and there is no other option than that .

so how to do it, mine is lumia 520

Log into windowsphone.com and use the Find My Phone feature to set a new lock code

  1. Go to http://www.windowsphone.com and sign to the Microsoft account associated with your phone.
  2. Select "Find My Phone" from  the drop down menu that appears when you click on your name.  Or just go to https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my/find
  3. Click the "Lock" link
  4. Enter a new 4 digit PIN code and press the Lock button.

    i tap a many times wrong password n i drop my phone.... and i on back my phone... i read my phone lock screen " try again in 1079143 minutes"

To use find my phone feature, the associated Microsoft account on your phone should be the same account that you are using when you login to https://account.microsoft.com/devices. You may need to set up find my phone on your device to be able to use the feature. You can refer to this link for information about finding a lost phone.
