Ratandeep,
You did not read all of the posts in this thread. You did not even read the original post that started this thread.
You only read my last post (June 8, 2014), and even then .... you did not understand that it was off-topic.
In my post of June 8, 2014, I was having an off topic discussion with another person. In that off topic discussion, I stated this:
"my point being that someone with Windows Update set to automatic could end up installing an update that subsequently caused a blue screen ... so before I install the monthly updates, I prefer to wait a few weeks (except for updates that address zero-day issues) and do some research to see if any of the monthly updates are known to be causing problems after being installed."
My off topic discussion was NOT about a blue screen or Stop Errors, my off topic discussion was about how leaving ones Windows Update settings on "automatic" and always installing every monthly fix (without doing any due diligence) can result in system crashes.
I provided an example of one such update that caused a blue screen ... but the off-topic discussion (and the topic of this thread) is not about blue screens or Stop Errors.
The link you provided only pertained to a Stop Error ... and Stop Errors were not the original topic of this thread, nor were they the subject of my off-topic post.
My apologies for confusing you with the off-topic posts that I made .... you apparently did not take the time to read this entire thread and understand the issue being discussed.
The topic of this thread is update KB2952664.
I am requesting that you read this entire thread, and then answer these about the topic of this thread. Microsoft has described KB2952664 as follows: "This update helps Microsoft make improvements to the current operating system in order to ease the upgrade experience to the latest version of Windows."
This description is very vague.
Please answer these questions about update KB2952664:
- Exactly what is wrong with the current upgrade experience that warrants a fix to ease the upgrade experience?
- In what ways does KB2952664 improve the process of upgrading to Windows 8.x??
- What impact/consequences would one experience by initiating an upgrade to Windows 8.x without previously installing KB2952664?
