BH-940 Purity Pro wont charge anymore.

I recently purchased the Nokia Monster Purity Pro's in Aug 13 and have been charging them acording to the recommendations from the instruction booklet. Recently as I was wearing them the voice promtpted that my battery was low. I then charged, or thought I was charging them to use again. Once completed I put them on and I got the same message again. I tried the wall outlet, and computer, both have failed to charge the headphones.

           When I plug in the headphones the led indicator goes on for about 30 seconds then switches off, not sure if that indicates anything, I know they have a 12 month warranty on them and when trying to find contact details I get brought to this discussion forum. I am assuming that they want me to use this as a first stop. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

    Hello Slavixs

    I've tried to change battery. I don't know if the technical service I contact was lack of knowledge regarding this device, but battery was removed and changed with no result. The technician said there is a problem with this microcircuit that can not be replaced so now I have a useless device what is a real pity because there is no support after all.

    My suggestion is to be extremely careful with this device, if you change the battery and there is no result (by the way you can use any cellphone battery) it is supposed there is a problem with circuit.

    Just to try if its works and problem is the battry, or to try with old nokia battery, they have the same 3.7 volt... 

    My purity pro is in a service at a friend, but he repairs it since December, so i think he can't do it :/ anyway he once said it's charging up to 80% but he's trying to improve it, later he said sometimes it charges, and sometimes it's not

    Hi Jon.

    It seems to be a wrong answer. There is no problem with USB cable cord. As you can realize, you connect the cable and charger and there is a change on headphones leds so there is no problem with your USB cable. Furthermore you can use another cable you have and the problem is still the same.

    The problem is related to battery and it should be changed. Can you find a spare battery? This is the deal!

    I got the same issue (not charging) with the same symptoms (red light for ~5 seconds).

    problem solved - I changed to a new, "higher quality" usb cable.

    (the old cable was 3 years old and has had a hard life)

    Looks like the Purity Pro is fussy about it power source.

    it stops charging after 5 seconds if it thinks something is wrong.

    I changed to different chargers and USB cords but nothing on my end.

    Do you mind sharing what brand of charger and cord you're using?
