BH-940 Purity Pro wont charge anymore.

I recently purchased the Nokia Monster Purity Pro's in Aug 13 and have been charging them acording to the recommendations from the instruction booklet. Recently as I was wearing them the voice promtpted that my battery was low. I then charged, or thought I was charging them to use again. Once completed I put them on and I got the same message again. I tried the wall outlet, and computer, both have failed to charge the headphones.

           When I plug in the headphones the led indicator goes on for about 30 seconds then switches off, not sure if that indicates anything, I know they have a 12 month warranty on them and when trying to find contact details I get brought to this discussion forum. I am assuming that they want me to use this as a first stop. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

    I got the same issue (not charging) with the same symptoms (red light for ~5 seconds).

    problem solved - I changed to a new, "higher quality" usb cable.

    (the old cable was 3 years old and has had a hard life)

    Looks like the Purity Pro is fussy about it power source.

    it stops charging after 5 seconds if it thinks something is wrong.

    Yves, thanks for finding a solution, but could you be more specific? I've tried all three usb cables I have (all from nokia sets) and none of them are making any difference.

    What constitutes a 'higher quality' usb cable?

    I had the same issue of Play/pause button not working properly on my BH-940. First press didn't do anything but on the second press it sent two commands at once, resulting in a phone call.

    I got mine replaced under warranty (by the time the headset unit was 11 months old) without further questions.

    It's been about a year now, and I've started to have other issues with my Pyrity Pro. The right-side speaker's volume is a bit lower than on the left side, plus it makes white noise / static noise. By jiggling the speaker I eventually get the noise to go away.

    And surely I also now have the recharging issue. I need to check my chargers and cables, and of course reset the headset with the given instructions in this thread. But first I need power!

    i was hoping this was not a known issue... but looking around alot of people have issues iwht the play/pause button not working

    and if thats the cause you cant even do a hardware reset :-(
