Windows 8.1 computer shuts down unexpectedly.

My computer was set to automatically set page size (Virtual Memory) and was set at 704MB, but recommended to be 1982MB.

I just changed that to "Custom" and set the range from 1982MB - 2,000MB. So we will see is that stops the without warning crashes. Also, I have 2G of actual RAM, etc.

I am having the same issue with my computer randomly suddenly turning off with NO Warning after upgrading to Windows 8.1.

I was just looking at my Event LOGS and see an Error Event about the time this just happened. it has something to do with Windows Live Communication Application Failure. I believe that is the source of the issue.

Microsoft, what are you doing to address this issue? Secondly, what type of a QA Organization do you have that these issue are passing QA Testing and becoming Production Issues?

As consumers of technology we have the ultimate say.  I'm done trying to get MS to resolve the issue.  I made the leap of faith into Google Chromebooks, Android hybrids and Linux. 

After having used these devices, I am only mad at myself for putting up with MS' consistent failure to produce an operating system worth using.

As for my computer that runs Win 8.1...I will be reformatting it to Win 7 Pro.  I see an imminent demise to a company that has done an exceedingly good job at annoying customers.

PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. NOTHING WORKS.

I have tried every troubleshooter offered by MS, and every suggestion.  I've adjusted power plans, hybrid states, fast start-up, and every little thing I can think of.  I'm no newbie.  I know PCs.  I've checked ALL the hardware.  Nothing is faulty.  Just suddenly started happening after upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1.  My PC is a lottery of usability.  It's totally uncacceptable, MS!  You've totally borked something up.  It may not show up on your uber new test PCs but there's lots of people with this problem.  Please help.  And NO, Event Viewer is USELESS and filled with errors (and they're all the same as the other people's - so WHAT ARE THE CHANCES????)

PLEASE HELP.  Or PLEASE FIX IT!!!!
