Just try the 3rd party one like defraggler. I've found in the past that these PC Tuneup programs cans cause more problems than they are worth. You may find that once you defrag your drive with the 3rd party one that the Microsoft defrag program may work again like mine did.
Cannot defrag my computer since installing Windows 8.1?
Norton 360 says I need to optimize my C drive.
When I try - It does not complete the process.
Remains 12% fragmented.
Any suggestions on how to fix this.
Worked fine initially when Windows 8.1 and Norton 360 was installed.
Has been a problem for about a week.

2014-01-25T10:49:20+00:00 Hi Joe, Bitdefender has it's own defragger in the tuneup section so you may want to try that first.

Hello, unfortunately I have Bitdefender Internet Security and not Total Security. I never thought I would need their defrag. Maybe I would need to try a 3rd party defrag program like AVG PC Tune Up?
And should I try the other steps provided in this topic?

It's not from the AV because I am using Bitdefender not Norton.
