All system restore points constantly deleted with VSS services/volsnap errors

This is the first time I've had a second reply from anyone sensible in 6 weeks, so it's a big day! Maybe getting up at 4 am was worth it! (what's Spirix MS MVP mean?)

Point 2 - I know that - that's what I've been trying to stop for 6 weeks!

Point 3 and 6 - I'll give ditching the registry cleaners a go

Point 5 - I know it'snot the same, but it takes me several days to get everything back on after a Refresh and even more on Reset. Presumably the compute came in "Reset" mode - fresh installation - and I've had this problem from the start, so.......If I was convinced it would sort it, fine - but in the real world, we are using computer as tools and are not paid for the time spent getting them to work (like I said , £1500 or 1.5X that in dollars so far lost)

Point 7,  I already set them to the defaults - I was explaining what I'd changed. Is it normal for Superfetch not to work?

Point 8 continuation - did you see my later post on Shadowexplorer? - I don't know here to look for the files or what they are called - I've tried every directory. There is nothing in System Volume Information - is that OK?

Since changing the default setting (point 7), I've not had many errors and no loss of system restore points, but let's wait and see.

Is there any way of threading these things on this site so I can see my questions followed by your answer rather than having to cut and past to put the 2 together?

Point 5 - since the settings have been affected a Refresh will not likely resolve them.

Frankly I would do a full Reset now - less hassle in the long run as there is no way

to know what Registry settings or damage has been done.

Point 8 - check with Shadow Explorer however I suspect the issue you have is why it will

not install. Maybe clean out the temp files and folder and try again.

C:\User"Your User Name"\AppData\Local\Temp

Delete what is in the folder (anything being accessed will not delete so close everything - if

something will not delete skip it and delete the rest until all you can remove is gone).

Well you may have resolved the Restore Point issue however there is not way to know

what other issues will crop up.

(Easiest way to see and review previous entries is to open multiple tabs in your browser.)

I've read that, what little there is of it. I thought you were suggesting it to actually look at system restore point files of some sort somewhere, but, according to Youtube and other sites, it's for looking at previous versions of any file. Right?

I realize that later posts indicate that your problem may have been resolved, I hope so.   I would also like to add that the use of Registry Cleaners and their like often cause weird and wonderful errors and should be avoided like the plague.
