as you can see this isnt a isolated issue and needs fixing asap. especially with many big titles just coming in the next few weeks on pc !

how can this be sent higher up so this issue is resolved ? thanks.

We have issued a fix to address most of the “mouse lag” issues associated with gaming in Windows 8.1, which vary based on the game, input methods used, etc. More details on the issue and available resolutions are available via KB 2908279, and affected customers can go to the Microsoft Download Center to install the update

No, Vsync isn't turned on in my Tomb Raider. Every setting at Ultra except for hair quality, it usually runs close to 60 fps.

The mouse utility showed that the mouse output was 2 pixels at around 500 Hz, but for some reason, most of the mouse input to the game gets mapped to 0 pixels. That is to say, only around 5% of the mouse movement gets through to the map, and thus it's incredibly hard to move the pointer. When I don't have the map open, the mouse movements don't get remapped so everything else in the game is fine. Prior to the update to Windows 8.1, everything seemed to work fine, including the map.

I had been playing this game fine for months . Luckily I was extremely close to finishing so now after 2 days I got to 100% even with a very difficult to use map. If I wasn't that close to finishing I would definitely not play with that happening.

If your Hardware is pretty much compatible with game requirements than you have to go through some points before playing game to prevent your PC from lagging and freezing:-

    • Shut down all running updates
    • Remove all temporary files from your system
    • You must have enough memory on disc that can support your paging memory
    • Shut down all background running applications
    • Run Reginout Utility for extreme gaming experience
    • Update DX on your system
