We have issued a fix to address most of the “mouse lag” issues associated with gaming in Windows 8.1, which vary based on the game, input methods used, etc. More details on the issue and available resolutions are available via KB 2908279, and affected customers can go to the Microsoft Download Center to install the update

2013-10-30T20:07:58+00:00 Still no reaction on this from Microsoft!
I'm very disappointed by this support.
I hope they're working on a fix...

2013-10-29T11:46:55+00:00 I just did a system restore to the point before I upgraded to v8.1. The message received afterwards was a successful restore.
Of course, v8.1 is still there, BUT>>>>>>>> my mouse is "normal" again.!!!!!

2013-10-29T10:19:55+00:00 I don't care what mouse, system, updates, whatever... I am not a computer guru, just a simple user.
Mouse worked smoothly until I downloaded Win 8.1 yesterday.
It's hard to believe that Microsoft "overlooked" something as simple as "do mice work."
Fix it, MIcrosoft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2013-10-29T08:22:13+00:00 Keep in mind that there are two separate issues: For some FPS games there's apparently some sort of mouse lag.
For World of Warcraft, about every 5th mouse click or so it's as though someone decided to randomly point your character in a new direction.
It renders the game nigh unplayable in any competitive manner, whether that's PVP or PVE.
For some people turning off the high DPI scaling helps - a little. For others, nothing helps.
Thing is, this isn't even a new issue. It's been around since Windows 7 and Windows 8 but is was rare - you might get it twice a night if that, and half the time I just assumed I must have twitched or something.
With Windows 8.1 though... oh boy. It's awful. Really, really awful. Here's a link to the wow forum post on it. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/10102720358
