Hello Prudhvi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Sorry to know you are facing inconvenience with the web camera not working on the computer. I can understand how frustrating it could be when computer and connected devices don't work as expected.

This issue could be because of the driver for the device is corrupt or needs to be updates.

Please help me with the following information:

  1. What is the make and model of the web camera?
  2. Have you made any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  3. Do you get any error code, if so what is the exact error code?

4. Do you see a yellow exclamation mark in device manager for camera device in device manager?

5. Is the web cam integrated with computer or are you using an external web cam?

6. If you are using external webcam, what is the make and model of the webcam?

Method 1: Try running the Hardware and devices troubleshooter by following steps below:

1. Press “Windows Key + R”, type Control Panel.

2. Then type “Troubleshooter” in the Search box and hit enter.

  1. Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.
  2. Select “Hardware and Devices”.

    Hi,

Could you make sure the latest drivers available from Dell are installed for your operating system completely?

    Driver Download direct click here

If you install all the driver, the imaging devices issue will clear.

I'm having the exact same problem! There are no "Imaging Device" drivers listed on your download link or anywhere else for that matter! Dell support walked me through updating ALL drivers which did nothing. Also did a system restore. Still no webcam!

    Any other suggestions?

    Ed

I have the exact same problem on the same computer. None of your suggestions above worked. Spent hours restoring all drivers and using a restore point. Still no "imaging devices" in device manager. Still no webcam! Also, there are no "imaging device" drivers even listed on the Dell support sites! Please suggest something else?
