Windows 7 Video Hardware Errors, frequent crashes, screen freezes.

The newest Minidump files that I can provide right now are unfortunately over a month old.  This is because my Minidump files are cleared frequently, and I can only access them immediately after crashes.  If you really want a new Minidump file then I will have to put my GTX 650 back in my desktop, wait a couple of hours for it to crash, and then retrieve the Minidump file.  I don't have time for that today, but I could do it in the next couple of days if you want me to.

Why exactly do you think that Minidump files created for crashes from the same problem would be different over a period of a month?  Why do they have to be so recent?

I have uploaded the Driverview data to my Onedrive as well.  Please note that the you will not see any of the Nvidia drivers in this report, as I uninstall them when I am using my integrated card.  If you want a report showing these drivers, I will have to put my GTX 650 in my PC, install drivers for it, and then provide a new report.

I have uploaded the System Information report to my Onedrive as well.  The report was not taken in safe mode.  The report was taken while running on my integrated graphics card, not my GTX 650.

Please post a copies of your dump files as shared files (excluding any more than one month old) to your OneDrive with a link here.

The dump file will be created at c:\windows\minidump. You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to see the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select View, Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.

What is your computer make and model? If not a branded computer what is your motherboard make and model?

Please download and run Driver View and upload a copy of the report it produces to your OneDrive. To get a report on all drivers select Edit, Select All followed by File, Save Selected Items.

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key (alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Do not place the cursor within the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your OneDrive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode. The request for a copy of this file is additional to answering the question about make and model.

I don't think last time I uninstalled the integrated card driver I actually uninstalled the ATI manager, so thanks for suggesting that I will try it.

I do reboot whenever a system change requires it.  I might put it off for a couple hours... but I get around to it.

I'm disappointed MSI Afterburner doesn't record the voltage over time.  I really want to eliminate my PSU as the possible problem.

Should my card not be hitting 99% while playing games?  Is this something I should be worried about?

If it weren't for the fact that you also have a problem outside games I would suggest not using FO-NV

as your testing game because Bethesda games are a bit notorious for crashing for various reasons.

FO-NV is generally pretty stable compared to Oblivion and especially FO3 though. I'm pretty much out of ideas where to look next.

They must still be in there if the integrated graphics is working, but you may have to be running on the Nvidia card to unisntall them.

There should be an  - AMD Catalyst Install Manager, in Programs and Features.

After opening use the Uninstall Manager > Custom option to make sure it uninstall all the

AMD/ATI graphics driver components. You could also try uinstalling while in Clean Boot.

If you do this as an 'extra' it should be OK, but you should also reboot after making changes to system settings, or installing software, or updates even when not prompted to do so.?

If you are still using I-tunes then you don't want to disable the Service. I was thinking that as you were

not using Bonjour that you may not be using i-tunes . I don't use this stuff myself, so was only guessing.

• I forgot to look at the Afterburner log, and assumed your card would monitor voltage as does my

AMD card, but I just  checked with my GTX560ti machine and there is no voltage optio, so

out of luck there, I guess.

The clock speeds look good. Switching from 2D to 3D speeds, and no worries about the temps.

I just had a run around FO-NV on the Nvidia machine and found the gpu use to be lower than

with your GTX650, which hits 99% use now and then.

My memory is failing me right now, but I think I actually tried uninstalling the ATI drivers a long time ago when this problem first started occurring (with no luck of course).  I will give my card some time out of the computer and then try again.  Il make sure to do a clean uninstall so that the only driver on my computer is for the Nvidia card.

Next time I have my card in I will check BIOS to see if I can enable my integrated to run while the Nvidia is in.

I just went into services and disabled print spooler, and Apple Mobile Device.  Hopefully this won't cause any problems, I once disabled some apple related services during troubleshooting and Itunes refused to work for weeks.

Thanks for the tips on update services, I'm going to do some tweaking.

Are you able to tell anything useful from the Log created by MSI Afterburner?  Does the voltage over time look ok?
