What will it take to get Microsoft to acknowledge this problem???

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 8.1 via the in-store update my PC takes a good 3-4 minutes to boot!!! I am on a GA-X79-UD3 + i7-3820 + Samsung SSD 840 for system drive. I have updated all my drivers to Windows 8.1 compatible ones and still. I have checked via Samsung Magician and the drive is using AHCI mode on (Intel PCH) Sata 3 6Gb/s. I have tried restoring my UEFI to default settings and enabling Fast Boot but still?? On Windows 8 it would boot in 5 seconds....
EDIT: Have tried Safe Boot and Clean Boot, still same
EDIT2: Will any Microsoft guy chime in?

2013-10-28T08:41:45+00:00 Windows 8.1 is obviously not stable yet. I mean some people seem to be running it no problem, but there are too many people with this same issue. I'm going back to Win 8 with Start8. I'll consider updating again in a few months.

2013-10-27T22:30:53+00:00 I had this issue before too. I found by going to my computer manufacture website (HP.com in my case), downloading and installing the latest BIOS released for your machine it can fix the computer slow boot. This could be temporary or permanent, don't know at the moment. When I turned it on this morning at booted like before the update, in under a minute.
By the Way: When I went to my product support page at asked if i was running Windows 8 or 8.1. CHOOSE WINDOWS 8 because your get the BIOS last released for it, don't install the one under WINDOWS 8.1 if such an option is available, as your computer will have downloaded that BIOS already and so obviously it didn't work., then Patch and restart.
It fixed my issue, hopefully it will work on others.

2013-10-27T13:37:56+00:00 Same problem with everyone here. Very slow boot times. I personally cannot deal with this issue even with the new features windows 8.1 brings to the table so I just reinstalled windows 8. Until Microsoft comes up with a fix I'm not upgrading.
