Hey,
I have a nokia lumia 1520 and Im having trouble making phone calls, people cant hear me talk, Only when I set it to handsfree people can hear me. Im pretty sure it has to do some with the noise cancelling, cancelling out my voice.
any software update to solve this issue?

ahhh, no wonder why they don't build flagship phones anymore. They just don't care about customers.
This is a common design fault with these phones - we have 2 in our house and both microphones failed within 6 months of purchase. One phone was sent for repair and the repaired microphone also failed after a further 7 months use. I suspect they used sub-standard components as they knew this model was to be discontinued. It doesn't make me very keen to shell out £500+ on the new Lumia 950xl. Get your act together Microsoft
I have found a solution to the hardware fault on my phone, my microphone was never working so clearly hardware fault. I had the same microphone issues and the LED lights below my screen wouldn't work. I found that when i twisted my phone I could get them and the microphone to work, so it seemed like a bad connection in the lower daughterboard, upon disassembly I found the fault was actually where the ribbon from that board connects to the mainboard. In the picture below marked by the red arrow, I found that applying pressure made the Led's and microphone work. My solution was to stick a small piece of 2mm thick adhesive foam onto the silver cover so it applies pressure from the back cover.
Phone is working perfectly now
