Nokia 1520 Microphone problems

I have microphone sensitivity problems only when calling via headset: people can't hear anything. I tested several headsets: same result. I also tested recording a voice-memo both via headset and via device microphone: both clear. So my hypothesis is that it has to do with the phone-software. 

Nokia: as I find many problems on internet on this and at my Company (>40.000) Nokia has already a bad reputation...I suggest you solve these problems with highest priority!!

Just replace the microphone, and back with news. Regardly ,for me, it is a hardware problem , since i replace it ,and now is working just fine.Is working even better than another 1520 i've tested :). I mention that i was having the same problem, people hear me like i was under wather , only when I set it to handsfree people can hear me clearly. Changing the microphone was a little bit hard, but i've done it.Since it is not so expensive , i advice you to buy one , and test it,even if you won't fix it on the board , just plug the band on the mainboard.

I've heard that 1020 have the same problem.

Even a factory reset did not solve the issue, people can't hear me when i answer a call or make a call.

however mic is working when recording. And when i plug in a  headphone ( no mic incorporated)  then i do not have to put on the speaker to speak with people.

So send it in for a repair seems to be the only solution.

I am experiencing the same problem on my 1520 purchased from ATT. During normal calls, the person on the other end cannot hear me so I am forced to utilize the speakerphone or ear buds. Tried resetting my phone, volume adjustments, a whole gamut of troubleshooting but to no avail. This is a flagship phone and we would like to receive the assistance worthy of a flagship phone.

Do you already visited any care point? If resetting did not work it seems to be any hardware problem.

Please visit any care point to check your hardware and repair your phone if neccessary.
