Nokia 1520 Microphone problems

Hi have the same problem. i have now purchased 6 nokia 1520 phones each of which has failed in the same way. Basically if i ever connect a phone to a bluetooth device the internal mic gets redirected to the bluetooth and after that there is nothing (other getting it replaced) you can do return it to the internal mic. No resetting or firmware changes fix it.

i have a second fault which is caused if i ever place a mic/headset in the 3.5mm jack socket, again the issue is the loss of the internal mic.

In both cases the only way to make calls and be heard is to use the hands free speaker mode.

This issue is reported everywhere, my phones were purchased at different times, from different places in the world, all have failed even when i have not directly connected to a bluetooth headset ie just connecting to another bluetooth device causes it.

Really had enough of this one, i am a developer on the technical preview platform causing me real issues in writing phone apps

I'm on my second 1520. My first one had this issue along with an issue with the camera going all wonky. It also would get really hot while not being used and when I would wake and unlock it. It would say "Resuming" or "Loading" and take forever to bring up the home screen. Resets did nothing to help, so I had to get a replacement. Number two is doing the "Resuming" thing and now the mic has stopped working. I had high hopes for this phone and paid a lot of money for it only to be let down again. I'm a Microsoft fan and would never buy crApple. But I may be looking into a Samsung or other Droid phone.

Do you already visited any care point? If resetting did not work it seems to be any hardware problem.

Please visit any care point to check your hardware and repair your phone if neccessary.

I am experiencing the same problem on my 1520 purchased from ATT. During normal calls, the person on the other end cannot hear me so I am forced to utilize the speakerphone or ear buds. Tried resetting my phone, volume adjustments, a whole gamut of troubleshooting but to no avail. This is a flagship phone and we would like to receive the assistance worthy of a flagship phone.

Even a factory reset did not solve the issue, people can't hear me when i answer a call or make a call.

however mic is working when recording. And when i plug in a  headphone ( no mic incorporated)  then i do not have to put on the speaker to speak with people.

So send it in for a repair seems to be the only solution.
