SAMSUNG DID IT ON PURPOSE!!!!
I just got off the phone with them (800-SAMSUNG). Their official reply is, "It can not be disabled. It is a safety feature of Samsung products."
I am returning my $1000 laptop today!
What a waste of money.
After I return my $1000 Samsung, I will test other laptops in the "big box" to see if other manufacturer's devices do the same. It would be a big disappointment if Windows implemented this roadblock. I heard of an EU standard that says something to the effect of having to reduce volume upon insertion. ok, fine. After it's plugged in you should not see the warning every time you try to go above 39 after reduction. It is especially annoying because it stops you from doing what ever it was you were doing. The flag does not go away until you interact.
Solution:
- Return Samsung product to store for full refund.
- Do not purchase Samsung products in the future.
- Do not let friends buy Samsung products. (You know they will call you when they need tech.)
Good Luck.
Windows, do more, pay less...
