How to copy my contacts from my phone to my sim card?

This is really irritating.My window phone 520 is going worse.There are alot of problems with it.I have finally thought of reseting it.But the problem is that i cannot afford losing my contacts.Is there any way of copying my contacts to my sim card? So that after reseting i can have them back when i insert my sim card after the whole reset process? Please help me out of this...

Your contacts are always synced to your Microsoft Account in the cloud. You can verify this on your PC: https://contacts.live.com

To answer your question, there is no export to SIM function. You can export contacts (if you still need to) from the mentioned site though by choosing Manage > Export.

There is no way to put the contacts from your phone to SIM card. I can suggest a few alternatives though.

  1. Go to contacts.live.com. Login using your windowsphone account. All your phone contacts must be stored here.
  2. There is this app called TRANSFER MY DATA in the store under the section called APPS BY NOKIA. That app allows you to transfer contacts through Bluetooth to other phones.

Er No! I look at my Microsoft account and there is nothing about the contacts that are in my Win 8 phone that seem to be sucked up from the various sim cards that have been in it.

Guesss what I dont want my face book life in my phone or visa versa.

Just how do I do **** that was simple on old phones and is now imbloodypossible with 'smart' phones.

    I'm not familiar with giffgaff, but a little searching around the internet makes me think it uses the O2 network, so pay as you go phones that are branded to the O2 network would work on giffgaff. If that's the case with your phone, you'd need to complain to O2.

    I don't have much else to contribute to this thread and so I'll leave it up to you to perform any additional research you need to satisfy your own curiosity or continue down this path. Good luck to you.

    Okay thanks for your efforts @profjulie, though I'm still bemused as to how giffgaff/O2 managed to remove these features when I put the SIM into my new phone, which I'd purchased completely independently. I guess I must be missing something basic here. I'll get in touch with giffgaff but I don't think I'll be suprised by their reply.

    At last...............All my contacts have telephone numbers now. This was the easiest & simplest solution to getting all my contacts synched up.
