Well, more than enough time has transpired. Given the complexity of the issue with Microsoft ignoring their end users, I had to eat the labor to roll back the OS to Windows 7 to make things work for my customer. Not an acceptable approach. Regardless
of opinions, the bottom line is the pendulum is swinging, and I'm looking to move my customers as far away from Microsoft as possible. In time, possibly, if Microsoft re-invents itself, some (like my customers) might consider coming back, but why on Earth
would a business who depends on specific requirements want to continually be slapped in the face and ignored by Microsoft? Apple has made great strides in getting users to consider their operating system. As long as they remain a progressive company and
the applications are available for the end users (as in ultimately having the ability to run an application specifically written for Apple platforms, not via VMware, Parallels, etc.).
So, even with this "blow" as to the total disregard for the end users needs, think about this: Why would users want a platform that is constantly targeted, compromised, infected, damaged, problematic, etc.? Windows will die, as will Microsoft, the cow
has had every drop of liquid squeezed from it's utters, and as the trust and faith in Microsoft continue to dwindle, think about this:
Why do you think Bill Gates stepped down? he saw the writing on the wall, not the fact that he make more money than God, but also (listen real close now)...because when Microsoft was getting sued by the EU for jamming IE in the OS (you know, the whole
seperate anti trust thing, yada, yada), Mr. Gates was told by the powers that be to build a back door into WIndows, which he refused to do. We all know how that turned out, now don't we?
Might seem a bit off topic, but hey, listen, I give two flying kahoots about Microsoft right about now, so who cares, right? I'll be switching all of my clients in time to anything except WIndows......and most all of them listen to the Guru.....
