This error may appear anytime a Windows Update fails. To investigate possible solutions, we need to start with the specific error code.

We can do this by viewing your update history.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen (or, if you're using a mouse, pointing to the lower-right corner of the screen and moving the mouse pointer up), and tap or click Settings.
  2. Tap or click Change PC settings, and then Update and recovery.
  3. Tap or click View your update history.

View failed update error code.

    Go to maintenance and refresh your computer. This will remove aps that are not compatible and preserve your files. Then you should be able to install your updates.

    error code 800f0922, I have tried every thing I found in every forum but KB 2919355 will NOT install

    80200013,800F0922-These errors appear when m updating windows 8.1 (update fails).Please help me out.

    Get error code 8020002B when attempting to update with KB2919355. Machine is Toshiba, Windows 8.1 with I3 Intel processor.  Both automatic and manual updates fail. Repair functions don't help.
