I spoke with Microsoft again last night, they said to hold tight they are working on a fix and expect to have it released by the end of June or early July 2014. MINE IS FIXED!!!! Must've happened overnight. I checked today and all the updates are complete and my computer reboots like it used to! THANX MICROSOFT!

Wow! cool! i did not get 0x80070002 error anymore!! however, i get a new error code: 0x80073712 no i'm not sarcastic (well maybe a little...) error message is changed. This means i'm fu**ed to doom, or it gets better? there is a light on the end of the tunnel... but it's the sun or infernal flames?

I'm typing this at beginning of June so I don't know if the problem has been answered. The error code I found for the Windows Update Installation failure to complete was 80070002 for which I have found very little support to fix. To date, I have still not been able to install the 8.1 update without the files being rolled back due to "unable to complete."

That's why I would use ProcMon to find out what all is going on when this happens. If you would like to start you own thread I am willing to help you try to diagnose it.

Means file not found. Which file? Who knows? That's why I would use ProcMon to find out what all is going on when this happens.
