Just for grins, I thought I would try to install 9355 again (just cause I love pain), but it is no longer offered in the update?!? It's gone. Is MSFT reworking it, and has pulled it from the store?

That's fine until November 2015 when if the latest Windows 8.? is not install no more security Updates just like Windows 8.1 now. I find it not only laughable, but also disrespectful that the average, or even tech savvy MS user, would be expected to find a way to trouble shoot this install themselves or completely restore their machine. I really hope Microsoft comes through with a fix... How embarrassing for a integral update to have so many documented problems.

Nevermind. Must have been a refresh, its back. So, again, if you have Malwarebytes Pro and Spybot Pro, do you REALLY need/care if you don't get MSFT updates every month? Can't you just bide your time, and wait for the opportune moment (when MSFT has fixed the bugs)? What's the downside?

What about backing out of W8.1 to W8.0? You're kidding, right? No. If you can uninstall or restore or rebuild to W8.0 that supposedly will be supported for much longer.
