See if you can get some codes for some of those Failed to install cases. You could do that one at a time using the GUI you were in or with ReportingEvents.log. Sometimes updates fail because of spyware or malware on your computer. make sure you are using good anti spy/malware like Malwarebytes and Hit man Pro plus a good antivirus program. update them and run them all. ( you can only use 1 antivirus but you can use multiple anti spy/malware programs. Kaspersky has a good antirootkit free program run that too. SOmetimes shutting off your antivirus for the install is helpful. Also some windows updates have to be installed in a certain order so make sure you research the update that is failing and see if another needs to be installed first.

what if u cant access your desktop? my laptop is stuck on that message and no matter how many times I turn on and off my laptop, I still get the same message...

My update history has no error code/codes, but every other day my PC ask me to restart my computer to finish installing updates. After it restarts, which takes about 15-30 min., that's when it says some updates were unsuccessful, undoing changes, restarting, do not turn off your computer. How can I repair this? Could this also have anything to do with me not having/getting windows 10 yet, when my wife's PC has had windows 10 for almost 2 weeks?

FWIW I have noticed that some Failed to install cases sometimes just go away, in which case you could just wait and see if that happens in your case too.
