@SaiMT, depending on your comfort level with diagnosing Windows Update problems, your best bet may be to contact Microsoft technical support and escalate to second level if first level is unable to resolve the problems. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media allows you to create installation media that can be used to do an 'in-place' repair that does not require re-installing your applications but is more complex. In either case, creating a backup of your system or at least key information is a good idea.

2015-06-12T04:58:58+00:00 Summary:
I am unable to install the KB2919355 update for my Windows 8.1 machine (x64). It fails with the error message indicated in the title of the thread but no error code. The update history shows no record or error message.
More detail:
I have tried the update several times (over a few months) and failed similarly. Today I also tried to install by manually downloading the update. Same result.
I came to this page via this one: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8\_1-windows\_install/kb2919355-windows-81-update-fails-800f0092-and/4d4d23a3-695a-4bd4-b340-d2ce9c75919d
I did not get the "Get Windows 10" app despite installing the relevant update. (I got the app on my other computer). I am worried that this problem will not go away AND that it will not allow me to install the Windows 10 update either. Hopefully, this can be resolved. Please help.

2015-06-01T15:14:35+00:00 I have the same problem. when I check to see which update failed I see 60+ failed updates. I have tried uninstalling them all but some are unable to uninstall. the last working update was like 5 months ago.
I have no idea what to do, if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
