I bought a brand new computer with 8.1 and I have this problem... what am I supposed to do? The computer came with no boot disk or product key.

You shouldn't have to do this for a failed update, but unfortunately it is what it is.

That doesn't work because I only have a Windows 8 product key. I downloaded Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store. So when I try to install the Windows 8.1 it asks for a Windows 8.1 product key.
