Wow! cool! i did not get 0x80070002 error anymore!! however, i get a new error code: 0x80073712 no i'm not sarcastic (well maybe a little...) error message is changed. This means i'm fu**ed to doom, or it gets better? there is a light on the end of the tunnel... but it's the sun or infernal flames?

I spoke with Microsoft again last night, they said to hold tight they are working on a fix and expect to have it released by the end of June or early July 2014. MINE IS FIXED!!!! Must've happened overnight. I checked today and all the updates are complete and my computer reboots like it used to! THANX MICROSOFT!

Do a find (e.g. in IE press F3 or Ctrl-f) in here for 802460 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938205/en-us Otherwise, there would undoubtedly be some context where that message is issued in whatever logs it is found in, e.g. WindowsUpdate.log and perhaps CBS.log. As always I would be running ProcMon to try to help find all the diagnostics being generated and to help read between the lines to understand what is happening.
