Ron - there's no magic fix coming that I can see. They already released an update to this KB2919355, I don't see another version coming.
You may remember that I was one of the first-in when this thread spawned from the original 105-page epic, and I haven't posted anything since I tested and still failed with the Mk II update on 13 or 14 May because on advice from MS tech support I am waiting
until I return home two weeks from now before I risk any more updates. But I have been lurking and recalled someone else saying something about another potential attempt in the offing. I had to dig back through the posts to find it but back on page 18 (30
May) gregr2 mentioned that, "I spoke with Microsoft again last night, they said to hold tight they are working on a fix and expect to have it released by the end of June or early July 2014."
Since I 'only' have the OEM key which came with my Surface Pro (from Microsoft!!) I cannot access the retail ISO so I have no alternative but to wait for another update
unless Microsoft expect me to pay for my OS twice which is self-evidently unreasonable. I haven't wasted any time posting in the last month due to lack of time and lack of any sign of progress but this does not make me any less cumulatively
irritated and baffled by the lack of action and/or communication from Microsoft.
