Yeah there are lot of complaints to satisfied customers here but it is a fact of human physocoligy that those who are satisfied are to busy doing top both express their opinion. according to articles in both c/net and Neowin Most users have installed the 8.1 update and that is why you will not get any more updates starting today unless the 8.1 update is installed. If you look at the threads in these forums and elsewhere, this issue is much bigger than the minor ones where just a few have issues. This is a major issue - plus I'm sure many computer users may not even know if they have an issue because Windows Update is set to automatic and they really pay no attention to it - whether it is successful or not. Plus I know most people have no idea about component store damage resulting in dism restorehealth issues. This issue is not one that would be front and center that would be obvious to most users. Think about al that don't even come to forums and know where to post their issues? Relative to other issues that people talk about in these forums, this is a major issue.

No I can't but I can go by the figures release yesterday and today. That is why they are going ahead and cutting off the updates to anyone running Windows 8.1 without this update, Hope this helps and if you need further assistance post and we will be glad to Help you. If it was purely Microsoft Windows update there would be 100,000s more people effective and they wouldn't be a small minority. Most all Windows 8.1 users have installed this update and are having no problem, that is why Microsoft is not going to provided any security or other updates if this update is not installed starting with the Monthly updates today. This is just not the case.
