@Dannie A. call 1-866-PCSAFETY or get them online at http://answerdesk.microsoft.com . They will offer to remotely access your computer to try and correct the problem. They want you to be on the phone with them for 2-3 hours. I would also recommend doing an image backup first, just in case.

I "hid" KB2919355 and one other update that kept trying to install, but failed. That way if there are new Microsoft updates, they will still install because I left auto-update enabled. I do not see the downside of doing it this way. If there is one, please chime in.

Same as others. KB2919355. No error code, just "undoing changes". Tries again in same reboot sequence but fails. Same here, no update history, it looks like it's been wiped by the attempted install of -355.
