what if u cant access your desktop? my laptop is stuck on that message and no matter how many times I turn on and off my laptop, I still get the same message...

Sometimes updates fail because of spyware or malware on your computer. make sure you are using good anti spy/malware like Malwarebytes and Hit man Pro plus a good antivirus program. update them and run them all. ( you can only use 1 antivirus but you can use multiple anti spy/malware programs. Kaspersky has a good antirootkit free program run that too. SOmetimes shutting off your antivirus for the install is helpful. Also some windows updates have to be installed in a certain order so make sure you research the update that is failing and see if another needs to be installed first.

See if you can get some codes for some of those Failed to install cases. You could do that one at a time using the GUI you were in or with ReportingEvents.log. FWIW I have noticed that some Failed to install cases sometimes just go away, in which case you could just wait and see if that happens in your case too.
