Try: Deactivate your antivirus - remember to activate it again, when the computer have restarted... OR: Wait when downloading... Wait, when preparing... RIGHT, when it writes : "Installing updates 1 of 1..." Make a restart! Rightclick on the Start-button, and click on restart.

My update number was KB3000850. What now? Pretty sick of this ****. It usually means 30 minutes of frustration. Is there a fix for this?

I have a series of these error codes, but definitely the one you mentioned. I also have KB3047254, KB3015696, KB 3048043, etc... its been doing this for pass 2 days...

Anyway I've written down just 3 of the error codes as there were quite a lot: Those are update numbers. To see the Error code associated with one which has failed you would need to click on it.
