80246013 - can anyone help?
Can you search your CBS.log for that code?
I am experiencing frustrating problems trying to upgrade. It takes several cycles to get 3000850 to install before it succeeds.
Then, each time a new upgrade is released the upgrade process tries to re-install 3000850
again and fails with a 80246013 - can anyone help?
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
The reason I didn't start a new thread is because while searching this one came up and the first post on it states "Please post here with your error code, so that the Community can try to help guide you appropriately." That's what I did, hence the reason why there's no new thread created.
Anyway, thanks again. :-)

I've looked everywhere for assistance for this issue, and found nothing.
If you look through this thread you will find a meaning for it where people have shown where it occurred in their CBS.log
Edit: I'm not sure about that for this particular pair but I suspect we could find at least one or the other or its 0x-prefixed version. TBD.
Otherwise, also mentioned in here, you can get a clue about its category from the old list of codes which has been kept by Support and never updated.

Edit:
Doing a Find in there for 802440 finds
<quotes>
Protocol Talker errors
0x80244000 WU_E_PT_SOAPCLIENT_
</quotes>
Doing a Find in there for 802460 finds
<quote>
Download manager errors
0x80246001 WU_E_DM_
</quote>
Edit:
Notice that both lists end before the respective codes that you were given so we can expect that there are other codes which could be seen that are also not documented there.
Edit:
If you really want help I suggest you start your own thread with your own details.
Good luck

Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3000850)
Installation status: Failed
This update continuously keeps coming up as needing to be installed. I comply and install it...it gets as far as 8% and then quits, restarts the computer, then tells me it can't update, undoes the changes and restarts the computer again. After going through this for days now, this is what it looks like in my update history.
Update details on each fail are as follows...
