I tried to install 8.1, and after downloading and appearing to install, my PC hang for about 2 hours.  I reboooted and recieved a message that 8.1 could not be installed, and reverting to 8.0.  Error message 0xC1900101-0x40019

This morning I again tried to install from the Store, and immediately got a message This app was not installed.  Error message 0x80070652

Any idea as to how to install 8.1?

Chuck

I do not know what the previous version was.  The current version is 10.18.10.3325 dated 10/10/2013, which is different than yours.

Purchased my Lenovo G700 laptop (W8) on 9/7/2013. Upgraded to W8.1 on 10/17/2013 with absolutely NO PROBLEMS! Fast forward to 12/15/2013 when I downloaded several (approx 40) MS updates. During the install of these updates my laptop froze up and would only  regain functionality with a clean restore back to W8. Since then- nothing. I have tried over ten times to update using everything I have learned from various internet spots. Sad thing is that when I purchased my laptop I wanted W7 IOS but Lenovo told me that Microsoft would only let Lenovo install W8 on the new units sold to saps like me. Go figure.

I have the same problem same laptop tried 4 times

Here it is, January 7, 2014, and the same error code that everyone is complaining about, 8.1 install error 0xC1900101-0x40019still pops up.  It must be true that Microsoft releases programming so the rest of us find all the screw ups!
