I tried to install 8.1, and after downloading and appearing to install, my PC hang for about 2 hours.  I reboooted and recieved a message that 8.1 could not be installed, and reverting to 8.0.  Error message 0xC1900101-0x40019

This morning I again tried to install from the Store, and immediately got a message This app was not installed.  Error message 0x80070652

Any idea as to how to install 8.1?

Chuck

    I had also error 0x80070652.

I disabled most of the processes in the task-manager, and then the update worked fine without having to previously reboot. Hope it helps you too.

edit: it was on a virtual machine of Virtual Box.

The upgrade worked on the first attempt on my Lenovo.  Working though the various scenarios on my Samsung, but no luck after my 6th attempt.

I got the error code: 0x80070652 and so I downloaded the "windows upgrade assistant" and it scanned the computer for compatibility issues, the issue it found was iTunes said to "remove authorized PC's" (iI do not have my apple anymore, however, I still have my iTunes connected to 2 other PC's but if I remove authorization I no longer have that there to listen to)

Not sure if this helps, the assistant is an app.

    Same problem here.

Ran "WindowsUpgradeAssistant" and updated Norton internet security. - Reboot.

Ran update again from store, but same error - 0x80070652.
