I tried to install 8.1, and after downloading and appearing to install, my PC hang for about 2 hours.  I reboooted and recieved a message that 8.1 could not be installed, and reverting to 8.0.  Error message 0xC1900101-0x40019

This morning I again tried to install from the Store, and immediately got a message This app was not installed.  Error message 0x80070652

Any idea as to how to install 8.1?

Chuck

    Good morning guys

Had the same problem on a HP ElitePad 900.

Followed StudioAdrian's advice, disabled everything in the task manager under startup, apart from intel, left the Microsoft defender running as this scans the tablet/pc before finishing the install.

Update has succeded and has set up windows 8.1

    Hope this helps.

Same problem!! Just got a new laptop with Windows 8 and I'm wishing I would have stuck with Windows 7.
